Other tools, other problems
So I was disappointed a bit with the pen I was using and found an "Artline 854 OVERHEAD PROJECTION MARKER M" in a shop in Ibiza.
Loved the line but the problem with that one was it bled like an ox, as you can see on the left page. This wasn't a problem with the sketchbook, this marker bled in other sketchbooks also.

Day three and I'm already cheating...
Leave it to me to misunderstand the purpose behind#inktober. You have to show you're not doing it digitally! So, shots from my sketchbook from now on.
Here's some pen drawings I made during my Ibiza trip in September.
Cheating a bit maybe as I didn't draw these in October, but it is still in the spirit of #inktober. I think.
The sketchbook is a Bookbinders Design notebook I found in Paris. If you can get your hands on one they are very much worth it! The paper is smooth bright white. And it is thin so you do tend to see the drawing on the other side. This is not a problem for me in practice as I draw with pen and then I use Photoshop to filter out the drawing that shines through. It isn't finished art that is supposed to be hung on a wall either, they are just sketches.
The book opens flat. I immediately fell in love with them, need to order more.
I took a Pilot G-TEC-C4 fineliner because I wanted to practice drawing with thin lines. The tip wore of rather quickly unfortunately. I could barely draw with it when the ink reservoir was still half full. Not a success. I should probably stick with metal points.

#inktober ?
I just saw there is something called #inktober and since I'm practicing with pen and ink at the moment... It's perfect timing! Drawing with a Lamy 2000 at the moment, Noodler's black ink (no pencils, straight to ink), every line is beautiful even if my drawing isn't :-)
Any way, so the original plan was to post once a week, but I can see the fun in posting a daily pen drawing.
